This weekend I viewed a great film,"Unstoppable" directed by Tony Scott. Starring Denzel Washington, Chris Pine, and Rosario Dawson. This movie will keep you on the edge of your seat.To my surprise Denzel Washington and Chris Pine share the screen well together. And if you are a fan of suspense, then the film will keep you intrigue while watching. Along with being action-packed, and directed well. This film is worth your money, I give it 3 popcorns.
Directed by Tyler Perry this film is simply raw art, in a cinematic form at its best. First a monologue play written by Ntozake Shange, Tyler Perry brings her words to life. This is truly an oscar-worthy film, and has an universal theme. This film isnt just for colored girls, it is for every human. The acting in this film is excellent, with brillant cinemography. With a rollercoaster of emotions, and poetic dialogue this is a must see. I give the film 4 popcorns!!
Directed by Todd Williams and starring a cast of unknown actors, the film is a prequel to the original film. Which the stars of that film, do make brief appearances in this film. The film still take on the reality/ Blair Witch type of filming, using basic home video cameras. The film is actually decent, with a regular type of plot. A family is haunted in there home, by a mysterious ghost/spirit. The special effects are really awesome, and will scare the hell-out-of you!!!. As I stated before this film is a prequel to the original, I feel that a lot of question are still not answered. I give the film three popcorns!!!
Directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Matt Damon, this film is simply a master-piece.Matt Damon plays a psychic struggling with accepting, his ability to contact the dead. He believes this gift is actually a curse, so he choose to live life without using it.The only problem he faces is hiding this ability, from the world that he once shared it with. The film also follows a women that has a near death experience, and a grieving little boy who loses his twin brother. The film is really intriguing, and I was captivated. I give the films three pop corns!!!!
I was able to view "My Soul To Take",which was directed and written by Wes Craven. This film was a huge disappointment to me, I viewed the film in 3-D. Which was a complete fraud, nothing in the film was 3-Dimensional. The acting was a disaster, along with a horrible plot. The film is a train-wreck from the begining, and I want a refund!! This Titanic of a film doesn't deserve a life boat...I give the film 1 popcorn!!
I saw a brilliant film this week, and this is a must see. "The Social Network" directed by David Fincher, has alot of Oscar talk surrounding it. And trust me it is well deserved, the film which is starring pop- star Justin Timberlake and Jesse Eisenberg. Tells the story of the birth of Facebook, and the controversy surrounding who actually came up with the idea for it. This film is really worth watching, especially if you are on Facebook. And have a love for corky dialogue, this film is a must see. I was very impress with Justin Timberlake performance, lets just say he gives a new meaning to a**hole.Overall I give the film 3 popcorns!!!!
Another movie I saw over the weekend was, "Let Me In" which is a remake of the Swedish film "Let The Right One In". The American version is directed by Matt Reeves, and he does an amazing job. The film starred, two amazing child-actors Kodi Smit-McPhee and Chloe Moretz. Kodi plays a character who is bullied at school, more like tormented. And he is in desperate need of a friend, as the cruelty of classmates reaches a breaking point. He may of just found one in the character played by Chloe, who does an amazing job portraying a little girl with a big secret. That is haunting the town, and claiming many victims, and I'm not going to tell what it is. You will just have to find out, I am going to predict an Oscar nomination for Chloe Mortez. She does that good of a job.The movie I give the film 3 1/2 pop corns!!!!!
I had a fantastic weekend, I was able to see two movies. The first was Case 39, starring Renee Zellweger and Bradley Cooper. The movie I felt was very decent, full of suspense and creepiness. I was actually scared, a couple of times while watching .The movie also starred child-actor Jodelle Ferland, who does a brilliant job portraying her character. For a child actress she showed great depth in this role, I was very impress. Overall if you dig suspense, along with gore then check this movie out!!!!! I give the movie 3 popcorns!!!!!Case 39 Movie Trailer
I saw a great movie this week, Wall Street 2 and this movie was simply brilliant. Starring Micheal Douglass, Shia LaBeouf, Carey Mulligan, and Josh Brolin. This movie is a sequel to the 1987 hit, and is once again directed by Oliver Stone. Who does a great job keeping the storyline fresh, after so many years since the original was release. The film opens with Gordon Gekko being release from prison, into a world that seems to have the same rules but different players. He doesn't have the same status that he once did, and he now seem to be more concern with mending his relationship with his enstrained daughter. Who is played by the talented Carey Mulligan, who is dating an investment banker on wall street. Talk about irony, this character is played by Shia LeBeouf who does a brilliant job. The movie is plagued with twist and turns, that will definitely capture your attention. The current economic crisis plays a major role in the movie, and shows the down-fall of the once thriving industry. I don't want to give too much away, but this film message will blown you away. I give the film 3 1/2 popcorns!!!!
